Kuala Lumpur, 18 May 2025 – Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dato’ Muzaffar Hisham as its new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), effective 18 May 2025.
With over 20 years of regional banking experience, Dato’ Muzaffar has a proven track record in driving business growth and regionalisation strategies across various sectors, including wholesale and retail banking, investment banking, treasury, asset management, and client coverage. Prior to joining BPMB, he served as the Group CEO of Maybank Islamic Banking, where he successfully expanded the scale and reach of Islamic banking, advanced global leadership in Islamic wealth management, and pioneered innovative digital solutions within the group.
Chairman of BPMB, Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, said: “We are pleased to welcome Dato’ Muzaffar Hisham to BPMB.
