Jeremy Lee currently is a partner at Messrs. Jason Teoh & Partners. He joined this firm in January 2022. He is widely sought after to provide legal advisory services on laws and regulations enforced by the regulatory and supervisory authorities of the financial sector in Malaysia.
Jeremy Lee is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad and AmMetLife Insurance Berhad.
Prior to joining the legal practice in 2020, Jeremy Lee had served Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) for 33 years. He held several senior leadership positions, including but not limited to General Counsel, Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Director of the Special Investigation Unit, and Director of the Consumer and Market Conduct Department.
Jeremy Lee was seconded to the Ombudsman for Financial Services (now known as the Financial Markets Ombudsman Service) as Chief Executive Officer for five years (2012 to 2017). During his leadership, he led the transformation and rebranding of OFS as the preferred national alternative dispute resolution body for financial consumers. Jeremy Lee retired from BNM in May 2019.
