Datuk Rashidah has served the Government of Malaysia for more than 30 years. She started her career in the Ministry of Finance (“MOF”) in 1989 and served the Ministry ever since. Her first appointment was as an Assistant Secretary in the Finance Division (Investment), MOF. Rising through the rank, she was promoted to the post of Principal Assistant Secretary and later became the Head of Section (Commercial), Government Investment Companies Division, MOF. She then assumed the post of Deputy Undersecretary of the same division before being appointed as the Undersecretary of Government Investment Companies Division. She was later appointed as the Deputy Secretary General to the Treasury (Management), a post she held until her retirement on 12 January 2024. 

Datuk Rashidah also has broad experiences as a member of Board of Directors of Government companies and agencies. She was previously a Board Member of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Agrobank, Johor Port, Securities Commission Malaysia and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, to name a few. She currently sits on the Board of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, UDA Holdings Berhad, KUB Malaysia Berhad and Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad.
