Our CSR Programmes 

Our approach to CSR reflects our operations as a bank, marked by a proactive, well-planned and structured strategy. With a strong focus on two key pillars; Community Development and Environment, our various CSR initiatives are aligned with the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). As such, we take every effort to understand and identify how we can make a significant impact on our stakeholders’ way of life. This is done through extensive research, before critical issues are discussed with the stakeholders. Essential feedback received here helps us determine the most important CSR programmes to implement. 

To-date, we successfully completed a variety of impactful initiatives, including:

  • 2025 Piala Pembangunan Oratory Competition – A nationwide, SDG-themed public speaking competition for secondary school students, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and PINTAR Foundation to nurture youth leadership, communication skills, and sustainability awareness.
  • Festive Community Outreach Programmes – Festive celebrations during Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, and Christmas at selected charity homes, bringing support to underserved communities.
  • Little Legends Programme – Sponsorship support for Nicol David Organisation’s ‘Little Legends Programme’, empowering primary school children through structured squash training and English language education to support holistic youth development.
  • Urban Poor Food Assistance Programme – Provision of daily meals for urban poor communities through a strategic partnership with PERTIWI, supporting food security and basic welfare needs.
  • Program Sentuhan Elit SPM – An academic empowering initiative delivered with Yayasan LTAT, supporting students through targeted preparation for SPM examination to improve educational outcomes.
  • BPMB Youth Financial Literacy Empowerment Programme – A structured financial literacy initiative comprising interactive workshops and competitions, designed to equip students with essential money management and financial planning skills.
  • Back-to-School Assistance Programme – Distribution of essential school supplies to underprivileged students, helping to ease financial burdens and promote continued access to education.
  • Cooking for a Cause – A series of food security and community support initiatives, delivered in partnership with the Food Aid Foundation, providing nutritious meals to underserved communities across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Johor.
  • Orang Asli Education Support Initiative – Distribution of essential school bags and educational necessities to Orang Asli children in Kampung Tan Hain, Royal Belum, to support educational access in indigenous communities.
  • Women Entrepreneurs Financial Literacy Workshops – Financial literacy and business capacity-building workshops for woman entrepreneurs, conducted in partnership with Women of Will to promote inclusive economic empowerment.

These initiatives, reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our communities through initiatives under the Community Development and Environment pillars.
