Change in Base Financing Rate (BFR) & Base Lending Rate (BLR)
Implementation of 8% Service Tax
In line with the directive from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, the scope of the Service Tax has been expanded, effective 1 July 2025.
Please be informed that the Royal Malaysian Customs Department has approved the Service Tax registration ID: W10-2508-38000784 for Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad on 13 August 2025.
Accordingly, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad is required to impose a Service Tax of 8% on all fee-based income charged to customers starting 1 September 2025.
