Puan Rozainah is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad. She is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of FGV Holdings Berhad and Essem Group Sdn Bhd.
Puan Rozainah brings over 35 years of extensive experience in accounting, financial management, corporate finance, strategic planning, and governance across diversified industries. She served as Vice President, Finance / Chief Financial Officer of MISC Berhad from 2013 until her early retirement in 2019, reporting to the President/CEO and serving as a member of the Management Committee.
As CFO, she had overall responsibility for the Group’s financial stewardship, including financial reporting and regulatory compliance, budgeting and performance management, tax strategy, corporate finance and treasury, as well as procurement. She led multi-billion-dollar fundraising initiatives and reinforced robust internal controls and governance frameworks across a large group of subsidiaries and joint ventures.
She previously held senior leadership roles within MISC Berhad, including General Manager, Finance and General Manager, Strategic Planning, where she drove group-wide business planning, performance management, and investment appraisal.
Puan Rozainah began her career with Colgate-Palmolive (M) Sdn Bhd, TIME Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, KUB Gas Sdn Bhd, and Aluminium Company of Malaysia Berhad, establishing a strong cross-sector foundation in the consumer goods, telecommunications, energy, and manufacturing industries.
