Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (Bank Pembangunan) announced the appointment of Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir as the new Chairman/Independent Non-Executive Director, effective March 20, 2024.

With over three decades of senior leadership experience in the Malaysian financial landscape, including his recent tenure as Group Chief Executive Officer at AmBank Group, Datuk Sulaiman brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve, Sulaiman said, “Bank Pembangunan plays a pivotal role in national development over the last 50 years. I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve such a great institution and to be able to contribute to this country.”

Roni Abdulwahab, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank Pembangunan, extended a warm welcome to Dato’ Sulaiman, emphasising the importance of his leadership in steering the bank towards achieving strategic objectives and promoting sustainable growth.
