KUALA LUMPUR, 6 March 2024

Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad has extended a Tawarruq Asset Financing Facilities totaling RM253.5 million to Pi Data Centre Sdn Bhd for the construction of a state-of-the-art Tier III Data Centre in Cyberjaya, Selangor.

Roni Abdulwahab, Group Chief Executive Officer said the partnership underscores Bank Pembangunan’s commitment to delivering impact capital for national development and we believe that investments in digital infrastructure are crucial for driving economic growth and enhancing the country’s competitiveness on the global stage.”

PiDC is designed to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver and GreenRe Gold certifications, demonstrating its commitment to eco-friendly practices in design, construction, and operations. Additionally, PiDC plans to provide industry training and exposure to students from vocational training institutes and universities, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce and fostering innovation in the digital sector.
