The New Straits Times – Bank Pembangunan holds exhibition to mark golden jubilee celebration

Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd (BPMB) has unveiled its 50th Anniversary Gallery Walk exhibition as part of its year-long golden jubilee celebration. projek

 

The exhibition, held at the lobby of BPMB's headquarters in Jalan Sultan Ismail, showcases the bank's evolution and its contribution to Malaysia's economic growth over the past five decades.

 

Officiated by BPMB interim chairman and deputy secretary-general (management) of the Finance Ministry, Datin Rashidah Mohd Sies, the exhibition features Artjamila, an artist whose artwork is featured across its special 50th anniversary marketing collateral to give exposure to her refined and intricate creations.

 

Open for public viewing until November, visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition at their convenience and delve into the displays and captivating stories that showcase the bank's journey.

 

BPMB was incorporated on Nov 28, 1973, with the initial aim of developing, increasing, and accelerating active Bumiputera participation in the industrial sector.

 

It has since played a vital role in supporting some of the country's most significant infrastructure projects, including the Petronas Twin Towers, the Express Rail Link (ERL), the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel and the Sprint, Elite and Dash highways.
