BPMB AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO 50 OUTSTANDING STUDENTS

On August 30, 2023, 50 Malaysian students were selected to be awarded with scholarship in conjunction with Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB)’s 50th anniversary celebration at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel.

BPMB’s Shariah Committee Chairman, Professor Dr. Aznan and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Roni Abdulwahab presented the scholarships to the scholars, witnessed by the presence of BPMB's Board of Directors, Shariah Committee, Senior Leadership Team, and the proud parents of the deserving scholars.

BPMB Award of Group’s Undergraduate Scholarship (BAGUS) programme awarded scholarships to 9 out of 50 students, while the remaining 41 recipients received their scholarships from the Bank’s Zakat Education allocation. Six of the accomplished scholars have been selected to pursue their studies abroad, while 44 will embark on their educational journey within Malaysia.

The BAGUS scholarship exemplifies BPMB's dedication to serving as a hub for nurturing talents and ensuring access to quality education for deserving Malaysian students, both domestically and internationally.
