Kuala Lumpur – Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) has allocated RM2 million a year to sponsor students for overseas studies.

BPMB President and Group Managing Director Mohammed Rafidz Ahmed Rasiddi said to date, the bank had sponsored 12 deserving students.

The scholarship includes tuition fees, cost of living allowance, book allowance, computer allowance and accident insurance for a three-year study period.

Since three years ago, the scholarships have been part of BPMB's social responsibility aimed at helping to sponsor eligible students and generating skilled human capital.

"It is also part of our efforts to produce students who are not only capable in accounts, but also technical field," he told reporters after the presentation of BPMB scholarships to four students here today.
